Golden Lion Tamarins

Golden Lion Tamarins (ATM)
These little creatures are omnivores, feeding on fruits, insects, and small lizards.
They are endangered because their habitat has been fragmented into small, unconnected areas.
Their habitats are also threatened due to deforestation and they are also poached due to their beautiful golden fur.
To help them, growing more forest(trees) can help them increase their area of habitat.
Captive breeding programs would be helpful to presevere the species.
This is another animal for the next month (July)!
