The Blue Giants
Hey guys! I'm back again with another animal OF THE MONTH!
Yup, every month I'll try to introduce an animal, mostly endangered species :)
This month March, is.....the.....
Blue Whale!
These gentle giants are endangered, mostly due to illegal whaling.
Each year, over 1,000 whales are killed for commercial markets.
This is really terrifying!
Collisions with ships and entanglement in fishing gear is also a huge hazard to these creatures.
The critically endangered Western North Pacific grey whale is dying out
because of intensive oil and gas development in its feeding grounds.
Illegal whale meat is also traded.
Whales are really wonderful creatures.
So please save them!
Help spread the word about these endangered species,
even to your friends, your family, to anyone,
